Burrowing owlets seem to be the happiest birds I have encountered so far on my photographic journey. Even on rainy days these owlets look cute, cheerful, and happy. This moment was one of the few times I have been able to capture a branch or log in the foreground with these incredible owls. The rain had just started to fall and a few drops had collected on top of the burrowing owlets feathers when I took this photo.
