Join award-winning photographer Andrew Mease for a unique and intimate photography workshop focused on Florida's iconic beach-nesting birds, including Least Terns, Snowy Plovers, and Black Skimmers. These fascinating species gather on our coastal beaches each summer to nest and raise their young — offering photographers an extraordinary opportunity to witness and capture rare wildlife behavior up close.

🐣 What You’ll Experience:

• Photograph active nesting colonies during prime light
• Learn techniques for ethically and safely photographing wildlife in sensitive habitats
• Receive personalized instruction on composition, camera settings, and field craft
• Discover how to capture fast action (like skimming or courtship rituals) and quiet moments (like parent-chick interactions)
• Gain insight into bird behavior, so you can anticipate the shot before it happens

📍 Location:

Scenic coastal areas in Southwest Florida, selected for active nesting activity and best light

📅 Dates:

Available throughout May to July — custom dates or small group sessions available

⏱ Duration:

Half-day or full-day options (early morning or evening sessions for optimal conditions)

👥 Skill Level:

All levels welcome – from beginners wanting to improve their bird photography to pros seeking new portfolio pieces

🎒 What to Bring:

• DSLR or mirrorless camera with telephoto lens (minimum 400mm recommended)
• Tripod or monopod (optional but useful)
• Water, sun protection, and comfortable beach footwear (like water socks)

🌿 Conservation Note:

This workshop follows strict ethical guidelines to avoid disturbing nesting birds. Participants will be educated on proper field behavior and given guidance on how to photograph respectfully from a safe distance.

💳 Payment & Deposit

• A 50% deposit secures your spot. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your photo tour dates.
• Cancellations made 30 days in advance are fully refundable.
• Within 30 days, deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to another date if available.
